Prior to joining Brooklyn A, Jessica was the Operations Director of Rise, a nonprofit organization that builds community power in advocacy against family policing. She began her legal career as an Equal Justice Works Fellow then staff attorney at the Center for Family Representation, where she defended parents in Family Court. She has also held roles in research, philanthropy and public policy. Jessica brings to the Community & Economic Development program at Brooklyn A extensive experience litigating and counseling clients in crisis, experience leading a nonprofit through rapid growth and strategic mission realignment, and passion for supporting community-driven movements for social and economic justice. Jessica received her BA from Wesleyan University, holds a JD and MSW from Columbia University, and is admitted to practice in New York. Jessica’s favorite place in New York is her childhood block in Flatbush.
