Nija graduated from the City College of New York as a Salutatorian of the Colin Powell School in the summer of 2023. She majored in International Studies with a concentration in Comparative Public Policy and minors in English and Human Rights. Driving equity and inclusion is at the forefront of Nija’s passions. Her engagement in internships led her to her current position as a Paralegal at Brooklyn A. Past personal and professional experiences have enabled Nija to see the law as a way to protect individuals’ economic human rights. She intends to pursue law to support under-resourced individuals, create generational wealth in disadvantaged community groups, and help mitigate poverty worldwide. Nija desires to continue her education by attending law school in the future. As a New York native, she adores Queens but loves exploring Brooklyn.
