Prior to joining Brooklyn A, Mariana worked at the Violence Intervention Program where she helped to bring awareness and educate the NYC community about intimate partner violence and sexual violence. She also worked closely with Latinx survivors of domestic violence in the Economic Justice Program. This is what sparked her interest in the concept of economic solidarity. Mariana holds a B.A. in Social Anthropology and Spanish from CUNY-Hunter College. Her favorite activity to do is visit new local shops and eateries throughout the city.
