Prior to joining Brooklyn A, Margarita grew up in NYCHA public housing and witnessed many of her neighbors being evicted. She earned a Master of Science in Human Services Leadership from St. Joseph’s University and a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society with a Dispute Resolution certification from CUNY John Jay. During her undergraduate studies, she interned with various housing advocacy organizations including Goddard-Riverside Law Project, which serves many low-income at-risk populations. Her previous expertise as a Case Manager with Homebase enabled her to keep many renters in their homes. She is passionate about housing law and aspires to be a housing attorney. Her favorite place in New York is Patrizia’s of Brooklyn.
