Rent relief

Dear friends,

Mass evictions loom over our city as the federal and state governments’ eviction moratoria are due to expire and many questions remain on rent relief.

In brief, the federal and New York eviction moratoria may be gone in the coming months, but New Yorkers can still avoid eviction. The Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) can help you pay rent arrears and protect you from eviction for another year.

Brooklyn A attorneys have been working with renters to ensure that they have the information necessary to stay in their homes and access funds from ERAP. At a recent ERAP workshop, they answered questions like, What are ERAP’s benefits? Where do I apply for ERAP? What Do I Need to Apply?
