Prior to joining Brooklyn A, Serena Sankofa most recently worked as an office manager, providing direct support ranging from record keeping, policy and procedure, reporting, communications and outreach. They hold a B.A. in Political Science from St. John Fisher College. Serena brings to their work cognitive empathy, which they apply in their community interactions, and the lens they bring as an employee, which is rooted in their lived experience. Their favorite place in NYC is Lower Manhattan for its rich and vibrant Black-American history.
