Carmela joins BKA as a volunteer/intern for the Consumer and Economic Advocacy Unit, specifically the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic, while working as a law clerk for an employment law firm in New York City. She passed the July 2023 New York State bar exam and is currently pending admission to the bar. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from Ateneo Law School and her Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from De La Salle University. She is passionate about tax law and has worked/interned for tax firms such as PricewaterhouseCoopers – Manila.
