James joins Brooklyn A as a New York State Pro Bono Scholar. He is a JD candidate at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. He earned a B.M. and M.M. in piano performance from Western Michigan University and an M.A. in musicology from The Ohio State University. His legal experiences include civil rights litigation at Newman Ferrara, LLP, and tenants’ rights litigation at Ween & Kozek, PLLC. James also serves on the Judiciary Committee of the LGBT Bar of Greater New York. Prior to law school, James worked as a collaborative pianist and opera coach. His favorite place in NYC is the Hudson River Greenway.
