There must exist a paradigm, a practical model for social change that includes an understanding of ways to transform consciousness that are linked to efforts to transform structures.

Every day we work with community members living at the margins of our society: those who have been disempowered and discriminated against based on race, ethnicity, citizenship status, sex, gender, age, income, and physical/mental capacity. People come to us seeking guidance and help. They invite us into their homes, often in the worst moments of their lives, so we can fight alongside them to shift power and agency back into their hands. In this blog, we hope to encourage a discourse about the many issues facing our communities and the ways in which individuals and communities can reclaim power and effect change.
