Ken MahonKenneth J. Mahon is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Dime Community Bancshares, Inc, and Dime Community Bank, Brooklyn. He is also a director of both the Company and the bank. Prior to becoming CEO, Mr. Mahon had been the Chief Operating Officer of both the Company and bank since February 2014, and Chief Financial Officer since 1996. Mr. Mahon joined Dime in 1980. Mr. Mahon is also a board member of Southside United (Los Sures) as well as a member of the Financial Managers Society, the National Investor Relations Institute and the National Association of Corporate Directors, and previously served on the Advisory Committee of Brooklyn A. Prior to joining the Bank in 1980, Mr. Mahon served in the financial areas of several New York City metropolitan area savings banks.

Marcel L. Anderson

Marcel L. Anderson joined the Genting Group in 2016 as the Deputy General Counsel of Genting New York LLC (d/b/a Resorts World New York City). Prior to that, he practiced various types of corporate law as an Associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP.

He has been actively involved in pro bono work, most recently negotiating a multimillion-dollar loan agreement on behalf of Harlem RBI Incorporated, an East Harlem based nonprofit that gives inner-city youth opportunities to build essential skills through organized sports teams.  While at Cleary Gottlieb, he negotiated a settlement agreement on behalf of a tenant’s association, in addition to helping Community Development Corporations in New York City with corporate governance and other legal matters.

Mr. Anderson is admitted to the bar in New York, Washington D.C. and California, and has been practicing Law since 2007. He attended New York University School of Law and Harvard University.

Sam BeckSam Beck is a social and cultural anthropologist who earned a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. He has received Cornell University’s Outstanding Educator and Merrill Presidential Scholar Awards in 2002 and 2011 and the Kendall S. Carpenter Memorial Advising Award in 2013. He received the Award for Outstanding Community and Public Service from the College of Human Ecology in 2006. He guides students in community service in North Brooklyn and teaches his students ethnographic methods and fieldwork they use in writing reflective essays about their experiences in Brooklyn and in internships, rotations, in medicine.
